Information Technology
The department of Information Technology in MAMCET was on track in the year 2008 with the intake of 60. Since the inception, the department strives for providing quality and value added education and brings out student's skill and intelligence to solve real world IT problems. The department has highly qualified, experienced and eminent faculty members who are continuously supporting in teaching and in departmental activities. It has better infrastructure to conduct classes and laboratory sessions. We provide WiFi access to the students to access the Internet Connection.
Our IT students are regular university rank holders. It has produced seven batches of passed out students and many of our students are well placed in top MNCs. Department keeps on trying to get cent percent results and placements.
Department has indigenous library maintained by the faculty. It also has well equipped labs with latest hardware and software such Red Hat Linux, Android, Intel XSD, Oracle, Wega, and Cloud infra structure to conduct practical sessions. It periodically conducts association activities such as Faculty development programs, student's symposiums, national level technical conferences, Seminars and summer training programs which are beneficial for the faculty and the students. It provides e-learning resources through Moodle LMS. It also motivates students and faculty to get NPTEL certification provided by IITs.
Department arranges industrial trips, in plant training and Industry Projects to hone students technical skills and personality and also supports students to get them equipped for industry by career development and placement cell. Department also encourages the faculty and the students to participate in various competitions.

To lead as a sustaining and successful department in terms of offering quality and value added education, to attain cent percent job placement and to prepare the students as an inspiring human beings with ethical and moral values.
Program Educational Outcomes
The graduates will have the ability toa. Employed as computer science professionals beyond entry-level positions.
b. Be able to route their talents into postgraduate and research programmes,promoting remarkable advancements in emerging areas.
c. Have peer-recognized expertise together with the ability to articulate that expertise as computer science professionals.
d. Apply good analytical, design, and implementation skills required to formulate and solving computational problems.
e. Demonstrate that they can function, communicate, collaborate and continue to learn effectively as ethically and socially responsible computer science professionals.
Program Outcomes
a.Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources,and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
b.Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
Program Specific Outcomes
a.Ability to understand the principles and working of computer systems. Students can assess the hardware and software aspects of computer systems.
b.Ability to understand the structure and development methodologies of software systems. Possess professional skills and knowledge of software design process. Familiarity and practical competence with a broad range of programming language and open source platforms.
