It plays a major role in shaping up the career goals of students. It is a dream of every engineering student to get placed in a top organization. Keeping this key aspect into consideration, it is realized that training is important for engineering students to enhance their employability skills and achieve good placement in various Industries. In our college, apart from technical expertise, students are trained to become a holistic personality equipped with life skills to meet the challenges across the globe.
The career development and placement Cell is an interface between the Corporate world and the students of MAMCET. It enables the students to make better and informed career choices. The Placement Cell invites industries to share their knowledge and experience with students through guest lectures, workshops, presentations and informal get-together. The Placement Cell also organizes the placement process including Summer training and Final placements. The Cell manages and facilitates on-campus recruitment processes including pre-placement presentations by potential employers to highlight the issues, expectations and professional opportunities, unique to the company and industry.

The objectives of CDP are

TRAINING ACTIVITIES
The AMCAT is a computer adaptive test conducted by Aspiring Minds. The test assesses basic aptitude (English, quantitative ability and logical) and personality from a job perspective. Based on the AMCAT score, the companies which are in collaboration with AMCAT will hire employees.

GATE
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all -India Examination conducted by the six Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, on behalf of the National Coordinating Board - GATE, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.
The GATE score of a candidate reflects the relative performance level of a candidate. The score is used for admissions to various post-graduate education programs (e.g. Master of Engineering, Master of Technology, Doctor of Philosophy) in Indian higher education institutes, with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other government agencies. Recently, GATE scores are also being used by several Indian public sector undertakings (i.e., government-owned companies) for recruiting graduate engineers in entry-level positions. It is one of the most competitive examinations in India.
CAT
The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based test held in India. The test scores a candidate on the bases of Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI) and Logical Reasoning (LR). The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) started this exam and use the test for selecting students for their business administration programs. The test is conducted every year by one of the IIMs based on a policy of rotation.
GMAT
Graduate Management Admission Test - GMAT, is a computer-adaptive standardized test in mathematics and the English language for measuring aptitude to succeed academically in graduate business studies. Business schools commonly use the test as one of many selection criteria for admission into graduate business administration programs (e.g. MBA, Master of Accountancy, etc.) principally in the United States, but also in other English-speaking countries.
IELTS
International English Language Testing System - IELTS, measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills - listening, reading, writing and speaking. The IELTS test focuses on "International English", which includes British English, American English and other varieties like Australian or South African English. IELTS test is designed to assess the language ability of non-native speakers of English who intend to study or work where English is the language of communication.
GRE
Graduate Record Examination - GRE, commonly required of applicants to graduate schools in fields other than business, law, and medicine. It tests students on verbal skills, quantitative skills (math), and analytical reasoning skills.
TOEFL
Test of English as a Foreign Language - TOEFL, is a test for English language proficiency developed by The College Board. Most colleges and universities require International students whose native language is not English to take this test for admission. It is a required exam for those students wishing to begin undergraduate or graduate study in the US.
